Amma's bicycle

"Kring! Kring!" That's amma coming back from market early in the morning. She is riding her old blue bicycle, pressing the bell.

Hi, my name is Wali. I just quit my study last school holiday as we can't afford the school fees. My appa used to be a construction site worker while my amma was a full-time housewife.

Well, everything has change now. My appa has injured his leg during work and he has to rest at home now.  To survive, my amma decided to make chapati and sell around the neighborhood.

"Wali, come help amma to prepare the dough."
"Yes, amma."

While I am preparing the dough, amma is preparing breakfast for my younger sister,  Gaya. Gaya is 8 years old now and has a pair of beautiful eyes. That's she coming to the kitchen with school uniform after preparing herself.

"Sorry, Wali. You have to quit your school to help amma." While talking, amma is looking at Gaya.

"Don't said that, amma. By the way, I'm weak in study too." I am still preparing the dough, pretending I'm all right at the moment.

The situation has went quiet for a while. And now, amma has finish doing her chapati and gravy, so does Gaya has finish her breakfast.

"Bye, akka." Gaya said to me.
That's Gaya sitting at the back of the blue bicycle while amma is putting the chapati into the basket in front.

"Kring! Kring!" That's amma with her old blue bicycle again to send Gaya to school and sell chapati around the neighborhood.

"Well, it's time for me to clean the house and take care of appa as amma is working outside." I said to myself, while I am standing at the doorstep, watching them go away.....
